Welcome to the North Dakota Center for Distance Education!

The North Dakota Center for Distance Education is celebrating its Diamond Anniversary this year! For seventyfive years, ND CDE has been offering quality distance education opportunities for the many students and schools it serves throughout North Dakota, the United States, and the world.

The mission of ND CDE is “to provide high-quality distance learning experiences to a broad learning community in accordance with the best that technology and distance education can offer” for students in grades 6 through 12.  To that end, all of ND CDE’s courses incorporate a variety of instructional techniques that are used to assess a student’s progress.  Online courses at ND CDE are specifically designed to take full advantage of the extensive resources that are available on the Internet.

One of our top priorities at ND CDE is to develop and refine each student’s critical thinking skills.  We are proud of the fact that we offer challenging courses that are aligned with state and national standards.  ND CDE is also committed to providing each student with a positive educational experience.
