The ND Center for Distance Education is fully accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA).

The ND Center for Distance Education is also accredited, with commendation, by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction and is governed by and maintains the standards set forth by the North Dakota Educational Technology Council.

Core courses offered by the ND Center for Distance Education are approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for establishing initial eligibility certification of student athletes.

The ND Center for Distance Education is a member of the University Continuing Education Association (UCEA) and subscribes to the criteria and standards of the Association.
