ND CDE regularly updates its curriculum by adding and revising courses. If you cannot locate a course online, please contact us to see if materials are still available. Our bookstore does maintain some textbooks and Study Guides for courses that are no longer listed.

Print-Based
Public, private, charter, or home schools may purchase materials for our courses. In addition, keys for Study Guides, unit tests, and final exams may be purchased by schools but not by individuals. Materials purchased in this manner cannot be returned for a refund.

ND CDE materials may be used in a number of ways:

• for individualized instruction within the school setting;
• for adult and alternative programs;
• for specialized teaching units in the traditional classroom; and
• for home education.

Course Materials
Prices vary depending on options chosen. Selecting the Options and Prices link associated with each course will provide you with detailed pricing for course materials.

Course Keys
Keys to all lessons and tests - $50.00

Handling fees will be billed as follows according to the total dollar amount of the materials:
$0 to $50 - $10.00
$51 to $100 - $20.00
$5.00 for each additional $100 cost over $100
Actual mailing costs will be added to the handling fee.

Site Licenses for Online Courses
ND CDE online courses can be used to supplement regular classroom instruction or as the core curriculum for a class. No teaching services are provided with this option. To utilize an ND CDE online course as Materials-Only, the classroom teacher and/or school purchases a site license from ND CDE. A site license allows the use of a specific number of online courses. A site license is valid for a period of one year. Study Guide access is valid for twelve months from the date requested; however, after twelve months, unused accesses will be forfeited.

For example, School X purchases Site License A for thirty students. Ten students in the school receive access to the World History, First Semester online Study Guide; five students receive access to the Physical Science, Second Semester online Study Guide; and the remaining fifteen students receive access to online Study Guides in fifteen other courses.

OR, a school purchases thirty students. All thirty students receive access to the Algebra, First Semester online Study Guide. With each site license, one paper copy of the unit tests and the final examination may be purchased for an additional fee of $5.00 per course. The tests may be duplicated for the number of students accessing any one specific online course.

Schools or individuals requiring support materials for online courses may purchase them from the North Dakota Center for Distance Education. Support materials include textbooks, course keys, kits, CD-ROMs, and other supplementary material. Please check our online store for costs of support materials. Remember that the site license fee only covers access to online Study Guides. When ordering a site license, the school will need to provide student names and e-mail addresses so that individual passwords and usernames can be assigned.

A site license may be upgraded for the difference in site license fees plus an additional $50 administrative fee.
